Insurance
We strongly recommend that you consider obtaining independent insurance on all pieces of jewellery with precious stones to protect your investment in the event that you are not covered by our jewellery warranty that is set out below.
Warranty
We thoroughly inspect all our jewellery through quality checks by both our jeweller and a member of our dispatch team. While we strive for perfection, occasional rare faults may occur.
It's essential to know that our products come with guarantees protected by the Australian Consumer Law. If there's a major failure, you have the right to a replacement or refund, along with compensation for any foreseeable loss or damage. Additionally, if the goods don't meet acceptable quality standards (excluding major failures), you can request repairs or replacements.
If any materials, parts or features required to facilitate any repair or replacement are unavailable or no longer in production, or your style of Product is no longer available or in production, we will use our best efforts to use appropriate equivalent materials, parts, features or styles.
Jewellery & Stone Warranty
Taels Jewellery offers a 12 month limited warranty from the date of delivery (βWarranty Periodβ). If a precious stone falls out of the piece or your piece breaks within the Warranty Period we will repair or replace it for you based on our assessment. In order to claim this warranty, you must send an email to info@taelsjewellery.com.au with the following information:
- Email Subject: βWarranty Claimβ;
- Provide a copy of your invoice or order number;
- and Provide clear photographs of the precious stone and ring.
Once we have received your Warranty Claim, we will assess your claim within 10 business days and provide confirmation of the outcome of your Warranty Claim.

When warranty applies and when it doesnβt apply
Our products are delicate and should be handled carefully as explained in our care guide accessible on our website and via the QR code that is enclosed with your order.
This Warranty does not cover any defect which is caused (or partly caused) or contributed to, by any:
- loss of your Products;
- chain breakage (unless caused by improper workmanship or materials);
- reasonable wear and tear of your Products
- act or omission, accident, or negligence by you or any third party not engaged by us (including any third party repairer of your Products);
- failure on your part to follow any instructions provided by us or the manufacturer in relation to your Products;
- use of your Products otherwise than for use specified by us or the manufacturer;
- continued use of your Products (where such use is not reasonable) after any defect in your Products becomes apparent or would have become apparent to a reasonable person;
- failure by you to notify us of any defect in your Products within a reasonable period of time after you become aware of or ought to have reasonably become aware of the relevant defect; or
- act of God or force major event (including but not limited to war, riot, invasion, act of terrorism, contamination, earthquake, flood, fire, or other natural disaster, or any other event or circumstance beyond our or the manufacturer's reasonable control
If the Warranty Claim is outside of the Warranty Period we can work with you to organise a replacement or repair. If the piece and the precious stones has been damaged due to wear and tear we can work with you to replace the stone. Please note that any Warranty Claim outside of the Warranty Period will be dealt with on a case by case basis and in our discretion.
